WHO WE ARE

Since 1957, Universal Charge Accounts (UCA) has been providing charge account services for community retailers.

Our goal is to free up your time and money by providing funding for your charge accounts and by managing your billing and past due accounts.

Leading the way is father and daughter team, Marvin Adelson and Suzanne Platt.

Marv Adelson, a pharmacist in Pittsburgh, PA for over 20 years, became president of UCA in 1977. At the time, UCA’s clients were mainly independently owned drug stores located in Western Pennsylvania. As the marketplace changed, UCA expanded to other neighboring states.

His daughter, Suzanne Platt, joined with her dad in 1997. Together they have expanded into new markets and today serve independent and regional chain drug stores as well as hardware stores and building supply centers, with clients across 28 states.
